The University of Illinois Extension has announced its schedule for upcoming agricultural, environmental, and horticulture programs for winter 2025, which will be available both online and in-person.
The Illinois Pesticide Safety Education Program began on December 19th and will continue through April 3rd, offering various options including in-person clinics for private and commercial applicators, as well as online training.
Key programs include:
Commercial Applicator/Operator In-Person Clinics: Scheduled for January 8th and 9th in Mt. Vernon, with an additional session on March 3rd.
Self-Paced Online Training: Available for general standards, private applicator training, and most traditional categories. Each course can be accessed for 30 calendar days after purchase.
Certified Livestock Manager Training: Set for February 4th in Effingham.
Agronomy Summits: Six summits will be held across Illinois in January, providing attendees with research updates from university experts to help inform farm management decisions. The nearest summit will take place on January 28th in Albion.
