The Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be visiting Clay County on Monday, January 13th, to provide food for families experiencing food insecurity. Attendees are encouraged to bring boxes or bags for transporting their food.
The Foodmobile will first stop at the Band Stand on Front Street in Xenia from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, then move to Flora’s Rotary Park from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Next, it will head to Clay City, setting up at the lot located at 500 South Main from 11:30 AM to Noon. Finally, the Foodmobile will be at the Louisville Baseball Field, distributing food from 1:00 to 1:45 PM.
Those who wish to attend are advised to pre-register at www.EIFclient.com; however, registration does not guarantee a place in line, and there are certain income guidelines to consider.
This distribution is part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, which aims to deliver nutritious food to rural and underserved communities.
