Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies made arrests Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on drug charges following traffic stops.
46 year old Nancy Lingle of Benton, Illinois, was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Benton Christmas Day. The sheriff’s office said a K9 sniffed around the vehicle and gave a positive alert for the presence of drugs. A search revealed three glass smoking pipes. Lingle was taken to the Franklin County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Two people were arrested Christmas Eve after a stop along Illinois Route 14 just west of West City. A K9 gave a positive alert for the presence of drugs on the vehicle. Two people inside the vehicle, identified as 25 year old Anthony Boykin of Benton and 55 year old Kevin Kondoudis of Bunkner, were taken into custody. Kondoudis was found to be in possession of meth, a glass smoking pipe and a hypodermic syringe, while Boykin was found to be in possession of firearm ammunition. Both were taken to the Franklin County Jail on firearms and drug charges.
