The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department notified the public around 8:45 PM, indicating that the incident occurred on I-64 Westbound near the 66-mile marker.  The shelter-in-place order applies to a half-mile radius around this area, affecting residents on Magic Road and Huston Road in Woodlawn.  The sheriff’s department has stated that this precautionary measure is currently in effect.  All westbound lanes of I-64, from the Woodlawn Exit 69 to the Washington County Line, are closed.  Westbound traffic is being redirected from the Woodlawn exit, heading south on IL Highway 15 and then west on US Highway 51 North.  Motorists traveling westbound on I-64 from Mt. Vernon are advised to exit at Mt. Vernon 95, proceed west on IL Highway 15 to US Highway 51, and then head north to rejoin I-64.
