An investigation is currently underway after several residents in Edwards County reported receiving “rude” letters in the mail.
According to the Albion Police Department, who shared details on social media, officers have received multiple reports of individuals receiving “inappropriate” and “obscene” mail.
Though the police did not specify what aspects of the mail were deemed obscene, they are taking the reports seriously.
Residents who have received any such written material are encouraged to contact the Albion Police Department. Officers are in the process of collecting evidence to build a case for potential prosecution.
