The Southern Illinois Resource and Advocacy Center (SIRAC) is set to distribute 48,000 pounds of food to various food pantries across five counties in southern Illinois.
In collaboration with Remnant House of Prayer and Matthew Hart, SIRAC will supply food to pantries in Gallatin, Saline, Pope, Hardin, and White Counties. This effort includes support for school pantries, independent pantries, church pantries, and those affiliated with different organizations.
Participation requires registration, and interested individuals can sign up online or via the SIRAC Facebook page.
Due to the substantial amount of food being distributed, all participants must collect their supplies at SIRAC’s Shawneetown location on Thursday, January 30, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
