Edwards County recently held the Section 23 Public Speaking and Quiz Bowl competition at Edwards County High School. Areas of public speaking included: Varsity and Junior Varsity Extemporaneous, Varsity and Junior Varsity Prepared, and Creed Speaking. Participants traveled from 14 different schools to be a part of this competition.
Edwards County’s Varsity Quiz Bowl team took 4th place for the evening. The quiz bowl team members included: Jake Wiseman, Parker Biggs, Quentin Pike, Emily Spray, Cody Greathouse, and Cheyenne Duncan. Quiz bowl questions focused on general agriculture and FFA knowledge.
Hayley Perry competed in Creed Speaking and received 6th place; Quentin Pike competed in Varsity Extemporaneous and received 5th place. A special thank you goes out to all the judges who volunteered to make this event possible at Edwards County.
