Fairfield Walmart is currently undergoing a significant renovation project, estimated to cost up to $1.2 million. Submitted plans to the City of Fairfield indicate that the renovations will focus on non-retail areas, such as the pharmacy, stockroom, and fitting rooms.
Exterior enhancements will involve upgrades to the pickup area, updated signage, and improved security features.
Renovation costs may rise to $1.2 million after the initial cost was estimated at $880.000. Contractors have been given 90 working days to finish the renovations.
