SENATOR TERRI BRYANT RETAINS LEADERSHIP ROLE AND ANNOUNCES COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

As lawmakers reconvene at the Capitol for the inaugural week of legislative action following the January 8th inauguration, State Senator Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) proudly announces her committee assignments and her continued leadership position as Assistant Republican Leader within the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus.

For the 104th General Assembly, Senator Bryant will serve on several pivotal Senate committees, including:

Agriculture

Appropriations – Education

Appropriations – Public Safety and Infrastructure

Behavioral and Mental Health (Minority Spokesperson)

Criminal Law

Energy and Public Utilities (Minority Spokesperson)

Higher Education

“These committee positions provide an opportunity to advocate for policies that address the needs of Southern Illinois and the state as a whole,” Senator Bryant stated. “I’m ready to get to work and find solutions that will make a real difference in the lives of our residents.”

Serving in the Illinois Senate since 2021, Senator Bryant represents the 58th Senate District, encompassing all or parts of Edwards, Franklin, Hamilton, Jackson, Jefferson, Marion, Monroe, Perry, Randolph, St. Clair, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, and White counties.
