Wayne County Sheriff’s Department along with Fairfield Rural Fire Department and Wayne County Ambulance personnel were called to a single vehicle accident Wednesday night on County HWY 6 which is the Bt. Prairie Blacktop southeast of Fairfield. Deputies say just a little after 8:30, a 2010 Toyota sedan driven by 17-year-old Jenna McCormick of Flora was traveling northbound and ran off the roadway. McCormick and a 16-year-old male passenger in her vehicle were able to get out of the vehicle and was sitting on the side of the road when EMS personnel arrived on the scene. Both McCormick and the male passenger in the vehicle were airlifted to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville for treament of their injuries.
