The Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be in Clay County on Monday, February 10th, to distribute food to families facing food insecurity. Attendees are encouraged to bring boxes or bags for transporting their food.
The Foodmobile will be stationed at the Band Stand on Front Street in Xenia from 9:00 to 9:30 AM. It will then move to Flora’s Rotary Park from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Following that, the Foodmobile will set up in Clay City at the lot located at 500 South Main from 11:30 AM to Noon. Finally, it will head to the Louisville Baseball Field, where food distribution will take place from 1:00 to 1:45 PM.
Those planning to attend should pre-register at www.EIFclient.com; however, pre-registration does not guarantee a place in line, and there are some income guidelines to consider.
This distribution is part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, which aims to deliver nutritious food to rural and underserved areas through mobile food pantries.
