FAIRFIELD RURAL FIRE CALLED OUT THURSDAY TO SEMI FIRE ON I-64

Fairfield Rural Firemen responded to a semi truck fire on Thursday night on I-64 westbound at milepost 114  approximately four miles east of the Route 45 exit. The cab of the semi caught fire, resulting in its destruction, while the trailer, which was loaded with plastic merchandise, remained undamaged. Fortunately, the driver was able to escape without injuries.
