WAYNE-WHITE COUNTIES ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE TRUCK INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT TUESDAY ON IL HIGHWAY 1 IN WHITE COUNTY

White County Sheriff’s Department along with Norris City Police, Norris City Fire Department and White County Ambulance personnel responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries Tuesday morning on IL Highway 1 near County Rd 300 East just North of the Omaha intersection.   White County Sheriff’s Deputies say a silver vehicle driven by Jonathan Shaw was traveling southbound on IL Highway 1 when for unknown reasons, crossed the center line and struck a Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative Utility Truck driven by Nathan Coston.   Coston was not injured in the crash, but the driver of the silver passenger vehicle. Jonathan Shaw was airlifted to an Evansville hospital with serious injuries.
