SEVERAL GUILTY PLEAS IN WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT THURSDAY

23-year-old Steven Miller of Fairfield pled guilty in Wayne County Circuit Court Thursday to a charge of Battery and was placed on one year of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs.

 

Christopher Bartley, 51 of Fairfield admitted in court Thursday to violating a previous order of probation on an original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  Judge Denton Aud sentenced Bartley to two years probation plus court costs.

 

Mt. Vernon resident, 50-year-old Jason Robinson pled guilty to a charge of Battery.  Robinson was placed on one year of court supervision plus ordered to pay court costs.

 

33-year-old Pamela Powers of Fairfield pled guilty to Retail Theft.  Powers was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge and will pay court costs.

 

Kylee Davis, 35 of Fairfield pled guilty to Criminal Damage To Property and was sentenced to 24 months of probation and also ordered to pay court costs.  Davis was also ordered by the court to complete anger management counseling and have no contact with the victim in the case.  Per the plea agreement, counts 2 and 3 from 4 other cases were dismissed.

 

In a follow-up to a sentence handed down on January 17th, 56 year-old James Batterson, address given in Fairfield and has lived in Louisiana, pled guilty to Residential Burglary and was sentenced to ten years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.  Batterson received credit for 212 days for time served in the Wayne County Jail.  James Batterson was arrested by Fairfield Police following an investigation on six residential burglaries dating back to April and June 2024.
