ILLINOIS EASTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING HIGHIGHTS FROM JANUARY

The IECC Board of Trustees meeting was held January 21st in Bob Boyles Hall on the campus of Frontier Community College with a light agenda.  IECCEA Representative, Nixie Hnetkovsky thanked administration and the Board for the recent negotiation meetings expressing that there have been good discussions and progress is being made. Student Trustee, Jorri VanDyke gave an update on student advisory activities.  A motion was made with approval of the Consent Agenda and the Board approved a continuation of the Facility Use agreement between IECC and SIU for the purpose of offering Motorcycle Safety instruction.  Chancellor Gower recommended renewing standard clinical affiliation agreements with Gibson Co Ambulance, Posey Co EMS and White Co Ambulance.

A motion to accept a proposal for the non-bargaining unit banded salary range effective FY26 with the routine scheduled pay increases occurring in September 2025 and a motion to approve payment of district obligations for January 2025 in the total amount of $2,230,323.40.

 

Ken Pryor was hired as Technology Systems Specialist along with Marty Smith who was hired as Maintenance/Groundskeeper at Frontier Community College in Fairfield.  A special assignment was retroactively approved for Kelly Payne who served as the Discipline Facilitator for several positions at Frontier, Lincoln Trail and Wabash Valley Colleges.

 

The next meeting of the IECC Board of Trustees is scheduled for tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6:15pm at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson.
