Fairfield Attorney, Matt Vaughn was sworn in Thursday afternoon as the new Resident Judge of Wayne County. Vaughn’s immediate family including his wife, Kelli and their children along with Matt’s father as well as his brothers and other family were in attendance along with several local attorneys and several judges including Denton Aud, who has been serving in the roll as Resident Judge of Wayne County during the vacancy. . Vaughn steps into the roll as Resident Judge since Judge Michael Molt stepped down in August 2023 due to health issues. Appellate Court and Chief Judge, David Overstreet administered the Oath of Office Thursday.
