North Wayne Schools are offering Child Find/Preschool Screenings for children up to 5 years old who are not yet enrolled in public schools and will not be eligible for Kindergarten this fall. These screenings assess children’s progress in areas such as hearing, vision, speech, language, and coordination, providing parents with valuable insights into their child’s development before starting school. The service is free, and parents will receive immediate feedback on their child’s progress. Head Start personnel may also be available to discuss their programs and services.
The screenings will take place at the Johnsonville School on May 5th and 6th, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Each screening lasts about 45 minutes, and appointments are required to minimize wait times. Parents are encouraged to call 618-673-3044 to schedule an appointment or to obtain more information.
