BAKING A DIFFERENCE EVENT FOR JAIMIE FORD TO BE HELD MARCH 20TH

By Mark Wells Feb 28, 2025 | 11:56 AM

The Phi Theta Kappa Chapter from Frontier Community College is organizing a “Baking a Difference” benefit in support of Jaimie Ford, the owner of Bold Goat Coffee Company. In September 2024, Jaimie received a cancer diagnosis and has since been undergoing treatment. Jaimie has always supported PTK in their mission to be involved in our community, and now they would like to take the opportunity to help her through this difficult time. “Baking A Difference” will be a community-wide bake sale on March 20th at Bob Boyles Hall on Frontier’s campus from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. to raise funds to help with treatment and travel expenses.

PTK is asking for help from the community to donate baked goods that will be sold. Homemade items such as pies, cakes, candy, cupcakes, cookies, sweet rolls, or bread would be appreciated. If you have any questions or are interested in donating baked items, please contact Zoe Wiggins at 618-731-0116. If your organization does not want to participate in the actual bake sale, a monetary donation can be made.

PTK members will be filling boxes of cookies to be sold at the bake sale. The members are currently selling $1 raffle tickets for two special cakes which are being donated by McKenna Shelby of McKenna’s Macarons and More and by Amy Hohlbaugh, the former owner and operator of Amy’s Sweet Shop in downtown Fairfield.

During the day of the bake sale, Fusion Coffee will have a coffee cart at Bob Boyles Hall with a percentage of sales going to Jaimie Ford.
