Wayne County Sheriff’s Department arrested 38-year-old Joshua R. Vaughn of rural Fairfield Tuesday afternoon just before 1:30 for Possession of Methamphetamine and Assault. Deputies responded to the residence in response to an individual who was acting emotionally disturbed and throwing things around the house.
Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with Joshua Vaughn and observed him to be emotionally disturbed. It was found that Vaughn had threatened to strike his mother and was also in possession of methamphetamine. Vaughn was restrained and placed in handcuffs. Vaughn was evaluated at Fairfield Memorial Hospital and then transported to the Wayne County Jail and lodged pending a court appearance.
