WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT TODAY FOR SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a WIND ADVISORY in effect until 6pm tonight (Wednesday) all of Southern Illinois.  South southeast winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph this afternoon. Winds will shift west today, and continue at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.  Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.  Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
