A 25-year-old man from Sims has been charged with multiple drug-related felonies in Fayette County Court.
Lake A. Bittles faces a charge of Controlled Substance Trafficking, classified as a Class 1 Felony, for allegedly bringing 1.5 grams of fentanyl into the state. Additionally, he is charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance—specifically, the fentanyl—also a Class 1 Felony. Bittles is further charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, which is categorized as a Class 4 Felony.
Bittles has been appointed a public defender and was released from custody under a pre-trial release order. Conditions of his release include GPS monitoring, a prohibition on drugs and alcohol, and random drug testing. He is scheduled to appear in Fayette County Court with counsel on April 16th at 10 AM.
