FRONTIER COMMUNITY COLLEGE LINEMAN RODEO SET FOR APRIL 12TH

By Mark Wells Mar 21, 2025 | 5:59 AM

The Frontier Community College Lineman Rodeo is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, beginning at 9 AM. This event provides Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) students with a chance to showcase their skills through friendly competition. Judged events will include the egg climb, fuse swap, hurt man rescue, speed climb, and underslung switch open and close.

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to observe the EDS program in action, ask questions, and learn more about the curriculum. Frontier Community College combines classroom lectures with extensive hands-on training, preparing students for tasks such as wire maintenance, hurt man rescue, and cross arm construction.

Registration is now open for the Fall 2024 semester, with limited enrollment, so prospective students are encouraged to act quickly to join the EDS program.

The rodeo will take place outdoors, just north of the Workforce Development Center. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and food, and lineman rodeo t-shirts will be available for purchase.
