Two individuals have been arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department on separate charges.
Friday just a little after 12 noon, Wayne County Detective Kody Moore observed Edward A. Riley (41) of Fairfield while on patrol in Sims. Detective Moore knew Riley had active warrants out of Jefferson and Clay Counties. Riley was taken into custody and during the search incident to his arrest deputies located methamphetamine. Riley was transported to the Wayne County Jail where he is being held.

Clay Co. Warrant

Possession of methamphetamine
Friday afternoon just before 4 o’clock, Sheriff Chris Otey and Detective Kody Moore observed Marshall L. Garrison (40) of Centralia walking in Fairfield. It was determined Garrison had an active warrant out of Clinton County, Il. Sheriff Otey made contact with Garrison and took him into custody. During the search incident to arrest two hypodermic syringes and methamphetamine were located on his person. Garrison was placed under arrest and transported to the Wayne County Jail where he is being held.
