ONE INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT SUNDAY MORNING ON I-64

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Wayne County EMS personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle accident Sunday morning on I-64 at milepost 110.  Deputies say just after 10 o’clock,  a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 64-year-old Roger Spiezo of Fenton, Missouri was traveling westbound with the road conditions wet and covered in water when the Tahoe hydroplaned and ran off the interstate.  The Chevrolet Tahoe sustained heavy damage and a passenger in the vehicle, 69-year-old Kenneth Spiezo of Wimington, Illinois was transported by Wayne County Ambulance personnel to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon for treatment of injuries.
