Jasper Grade School is gearing up for a fundraising event. Since 2007, the 7th and 8th graders have participated in a biennial trip to Washington, D.C., and this year, they’re starting their fundraising efforts with a Spaghetti Dinner and Auction on Friday, April 4th. The event will take place at the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church on the west end of Fairfield, kicking off at 5:30 PM. For a donation, attendees can enjoy a spaghetti dinner that includes all the fixings: spaghetti, a roll, salad, dessert, and a drink.
You will also have the chance to bid on a variety of items during a silent auction. Local businesses, community members, and Jasper parents have generously donated many unique treasures, including hotel stays, Cardinal baseball tickets, zoo passes, and Holiday World tickets. There will be something for everyone. The live auction will kick off at 7:00 PM, featuring items like photography packages, a signed baseball bat from a former Cardinal player, and even a travel basket with an airline voucher. And don’t miss out on the chance to bid on baskets filled with goodies from local businesses and restaurants.
To wrap up the evening, there will be a special raffle with prizes including a beautiful quilt and two different firearms. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the night.
So, whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or community member, your support on April 4th will help make this trip to Washington, D.C., a reality for these hardworking students. If you’d like to contribute an item for the auction, feel free to contact Jasper Grade School at 618-842-3048.
