Edwards County High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the 2025 Illinois FBLA State Leadership Conference in Springfield, showcasing their skills and dedication.
Students representing Edwards County FBLA were Owen Grimes, Caden Hart, Quentin Pike, Brayden Sanford, Mason Smiley, Carlin St. Ledger, Avery Sweeny, and Larissa Yurkanin.
Carlin St. Ledger achieved first place in Spreadsheet Applications, while Owen Grimes and Mason Smiley secured second place in the International Business team competition. Caden Hart placed fourth in the Marketing competition. Their impressive performances earned them the honor of representing Illinois at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, from June 28th to July 2nd.
Owen Grimes served as the 2024-2025 State Vice President, representing the Eastern Area. During his tenure, Grimes collaborated with the Illinois State Officer team, both virtually and in person, to plan the conference. Notably, he fulfilled his campaign promise by reintroducing a dance to the conference.
