An Evansville, Indiana resident was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department around 11:30 Monday night following a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Main St in Fairfield. Deputies say a 2015 Dodge Caravan driven by 40-year-old Beth A. Martin of Evansville was stopped for speeding and that’s when Deputies discovered Martin had a Suspended Driver’s License. A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Charles R. Holland of Denver, Colorado lied to Deputies about his identification and it was discovered the driver and juvenile passenger had an active order of protection against Holland. Holland was placed under arrest for Obstructing Identification and Violation of an Order of Protection. During an inventory of the vehicle, it was discovered the pair were in possession of methamphetamine and Controlled Substance prescription pills. Both Martin and Holland was transported and lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a court appearance.
Wayne City resident, 22-year-old Josiah B. Kunce was arrested by Deputies Monday night for Domestic Battery. At approximately 9:30pm, Wayne County Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Wayne City Illinois for a possible domestic violence incident. Upon arrival Deputies interviewed the victim who stated that Josiah B. Kunce came into her room and stated he was Satan and began choking her. Kunce was interviewed and stated he could not remember what had happened. Kunce was placed under arrest for domestic battery and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
