Chicago sends Jameson Taillon to the mound against the Padres tonight.The Chicago Cubs have suffered a major blow to their starting rotation. The team announced yesterday that ace left-handed pitcher Justin Steele will miss the rest of the 2025 season with an elbow injury. Steele is slated to have surgery later this month, although the specific procedure will be determined during the surgery. He was an All-Star during the 2023 season, and he went 3-and-1 with a 4.76 ERA in four starts this year. )
