The City of Fairfield will be offering a residential cleanup service exclusively for city residents on Saturday, May 17th from 8am to 12noon providing an opportunity to dispose of general waste, tires, metal, and appliances. Commercial contractors are not permitted, as the event is strictly for residential use.
Dumpsters will be available for the following items:
General household waste
Tires (fees apply)
Metal items
Appliances
Items that will NOT be accepted include:
Construction or remodeling debris
Yard waste
Electronics
Liquid paint
Batteries
Any hazardous waste materials
Tire disposal fees are as follows:
Light truck tires: $3 each
Passenger car tires: $2 each
Bicycle and ATV tires: $1 each
Residents should line up on East King Street, where gates will open at 8:00am. Participants are asked to unload their own items, although City personnel will be on hand to help with heavy items if needed.
