Throughout March & April, members of the Edwards County FFA Livestock Judging team have competed at 5 different events. On March 22nd, the team traveled to Lakeland College. April 4th was the Western Illinois University competition, with Cody Greathouse in 5th place for Keep/Cull and 15th place for cattle, Grace McCarty in 10th place for cattle grading, and JW Simms-Reisner in 7th place for Swine. On April 5th, the team went to the Joliet Junior College event and Cody Greathouse placed 16th in questions. The Section 23 Livestock CDE was held at Newton on April 11th, with the team in 6th place, JW Simms-Reisner in 14th, and Cheyenne Duncan in 16th place. April 16th brought about a 7th place win at the Murray State Field Day. Finally, members competed in the Illinois State Livestock Judging CDE, where the team was in 12th place overall, with Gabe Wyatt in 7th place.
