The National Weather Service in Paducah says a slight risk of severe storms exists today (Thursday) until a cold front completes its passage.   Damaging winds is the primary severe hazard but hail and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.  Locally heavy rain and lightning will also be potential storm hazards.  The primary timing looks to be during the afternoon and evening.

They may have some assistance available for your situation. The number is 888-684-1441.  The agency also have several flood clean-up kits at their office. They are available for free.

If you need help with the American Red Cross or a flood clean-up kit, you can call their office at 618-842-3884.  If no answer, please leave a message and someone will return your call.  Director Jeff Jake Jake says weather permitting, The National Weather Service will be in Wayne County today to assess storm damage and make a determination and storm classification. Along with several trees being uprooted and or damaged, several homes were damaged in a widespread area including homes around Boyleston and Jasper School Road areas.
