In Fairfield Municipal Court news from Monday, Hearing Officer Mary Beth Welch-Collins of Flora presided over the cases.   Defendants may pay their fines and not be required to appear, while others are granted more time for compliance by the hearing officer.

The court docket from the cases heard at Fairfield City Hall for April included:

Sophie Maserole was cited for having a dog running at large. Appearing that day, Maserole’s case resulted in a $150 fine, plus court costs.

Mike Frazier was cited by an animal control officer for having a loose dog that resulted in a dog bite. Frazier appeared and was fined $75 plus court costs.

Nathan R. Watson was cited by Fairfield police officers for open burning on two occasions. Watson appeared and was fined $150 and $200 for the consecutive violations, as well as court costs for both.

Pamela Tullis was fined for nuisances on property. Hearing Officer Welch-Collins continued her case until June for compliance to allow the defendant time to tidy Tullis’ property.

Skyler Lurz was cited for violating an animal confinement ordinance. Lurz paid her $75 fine and did not appear.
