FRONTIER COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO HOST 47TH ANNUAL COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY FRIDAY NIGHT

Frontier Community College will hold its 47th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9th, in the East Gymnasium at Fairfield Community High School. The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00pm

The Fairfield Community High School Ensemble, under the direction of Joshua Livesay, will perform both the processional and recessional. Attendees are asked to stand for the recessional and remain in the gymnasium until all graduates have exited.

Dr. Jay Edgren, President of Frontier Community College, will deliver the welcome address and announce the recipient of the President’s Award.

Laela Kohzadi, a 2025 graduate receiving an Associate in Science & Arts degree, will serve as the student speaker. The presentation of candidates for degrees and certificates will be conducted by Dr. Sharmila Kakac, Dean at FCC.

Gary Carter, Chairman of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees, will formally confer degrees and certificates and present diplomas to the graduates.

To conclude the ceremony, Dr. Edgren will deliver the traditional charge to the class.

The commencement will be live streamed on the Bobcat Nation YouTube channel, powered by Raylen James Marketing.
