The City of Albion Water Department will continue flushing fire hydrants this week. Residents are advised to check for discolored water before doing laundry during this period.
Hydrant Flushing Schedule:
Today, May 12th: Southwest Albion — South of West Main Street and West of South Fifth Street
Tuesday, May 13th: Southeast Albion — South of East Elm Street and East of South Fifth Street
Wednesday, May 14th: Village of Browns
Thursday, May 15th: Hydrants along Illinois Route 130 South and the Browns Blacktop, extending south to Grayville
Residents in affected areas should be prepared for temporary discoloration of water and are encouraged to avoid doing laundry until water runs clear.
