WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER SHOOTING VICTIM IN THE FACE IN HARRISBURG

A Harrisburg woman has been arrested following a violent incident Monday afternoon in which a 25-year-old woman was shot in the face.

 

According to the Harrisburg Police Department, a 911 call was received shortly before 4:00 PM reporting a shooting at a residence on Michigan Street. Responding officers and Saline County deputies located the victim walking toward Harrisburg Medical Center despite suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

 

The victim was stabilized and immediately transferred to a trauma center for further treatment. Her current condition has not been released.

 

Authorities identified the suspect as 30-year-old Amy N. Tolley, also of Harrisburg. After an investigation and a search of the area, Tolley was located around 6:30 PM on the city’s west side and taken into custody.

 

Tolley is facing multiple felony charges including:

Home invasion

Aggravated battery with a firearm

Unlawful use of a weapon

Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon

The investigation remains ongoing. Officials urge anyone with information related to the case to contact Saline County Central Dispatch at 618-252-8661.
