EDWARDS COUNTY FFA HONORS STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS AT 2025 BANQUET

The Edwards County FFA Chapter held its annual banquet on May 12th at the high school, recognizing a year of student accomplishments, leadership, and community support.

The evening began with the Official Opening Ceremonies led by current FFA officers. Jake Wiseman and Carlin St. Ledger welcomed attendees, and Chase Shelton honored the Chapter’s farm sponsors: Nutrien at Browns, Metcalf Farms, and Wabash Valley Service Company at Browns.

Mrs. Michelle Wiseman awarded scholarships to seniors Dezirae Bailey, Cali Bunting, JW Simms-Reisner, Jaron Weaver, Jake Wiseman, and Gabe Wyatt. She also recognized Chase Shelton and JW Simms-Reisner as Section and District Proficiency winners. Mr. Clodfelter extended thanks to numerous Illinois FFA Foundation donors for their generous support.

Greenhand and Chapter Degrees:
Aiden McDowell awarded Greenhand Degrees to over 40 freshmen members. The Star Greenhand was awarded to Trey Landingham.

Jake Wiseman and Parker Biggs awarded Chapter Degrees to over 30 members, recognizing their continued development in FFA. Community supporter Doug Robb was presented with the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree for his dedicated service to the program.

The banquet concluded with the Pledge of Allegiance and official Closing Ceremonies, marking the end of another successful year for the Edwards County FFA.
