Frontier Community College (FCC) is now accepting registrations for its 2025 Summer Kids Camps, part of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) Ignite Curiosity Summer Camps. These camps, held throughout the month of June on FCC’s campus in Fairfield, are designed to offer fun, hands-on learning experiences for students entering grades 1-8.

The lineup includes Origami I Kids Camp on Wednesday, June 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. at FCC’s Learning Commons in Cox Hall. This class is open to students who have completed grades 2-7 and costs $15. Later that day, Origami II Kids Camp will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. for students who have completed Origami I. This session is also $15 and takes place in the Learning Commons.

Canvas I Kids Camp will take place on Tuesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in Room 10 at Workforce Development Center. It is for students who have completed grades 4-8 and costs $35. Canvas II will follow the same day from 1 to 3 p.m., also in Room 10, for students who have completed Canvas I. This session is also $35.

On Wednesday, June 18, Sign Language Kids Camp will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room 10 at Workforce Development Center. It is open to students who have completed grades 1-8 and costs $15.

More information and registration forms are available online at www.iecc.edu/summercamps. Camps will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting paperwork by mail does not guarantee placement in a class.

In addition to camps offered at FCC, families can also find information online about other kids camps taking place this summer at Wabash Valley College, Olney Central College, and Lincoln Trail College. These programs offer even more opportunities for area youth to stay engaged and inspired throughout the summer months.
