Wanda May Parson, 85 of St. John, Missouri, and formerly of Crossville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the home of her son surrounded by family. She was born on Thursday, February 29, 1940, in Albion, Illinois, a daughter of Harold and Ruth (Meredith) Nash. On she married Jimmie Lee Parson and together they shared marriage until his passing on December 30, 2014.
Wanda was a loving mother, wife, and mother who loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She was a woman of faith, who cared for others. She had worked for the St. Louis Zoo as a housekeeper and enjoyed doing ceramic crafts in her spare time.
Survivors include, her son Kenneth Lee Parson and his wife Kymberly of Ellisville, MO, granddaughters, Madyson and her husband Levi Baird of St. Louis, MO and Mia Grace Parson of Ellisville, MO, sister, Faye Bellamey of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Parson Cagle a grandson, Ryan Christopher Cagle and her siblings, Larry Nash and Shirley Crandle.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the chapel at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service, 108 West Main Street, Crossville, IL, with Pastor Daniel Moore officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
