VETERANS TO BE HONORED IN WEST SALEM AREA MEMORIAL SERVICES ON MAY 25TH

The Edwards County Memorial Post #8222 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, in coordination with members of the Albion American Legion Post #590, will conduct a series of memorial services on Sunday, May 25th to honor the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans.

The Posts will visit nine local cemeteries, concluding with a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on the square in West Salem. The services are part of the community’s annual observance ahead of Memorial Day.

The approximate schedule for cemetery visits is as follows:

Shiloh – 8:30 a.m.

Ebenezer – 8:40 a.m.

Macedonia – 9:00 a.m.

Little Wabash – 9:15 a.m.

Marion – 9:30 a.m.

Parkersburg Oak Hill – 10:00 a.m.

Walnut Grove – 10:15 a.m.

Zion Church Cemetery – 11:00 a.m.

Moravian – 11:15 a.m.

The final ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on the West Salem Square is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.

All times are approximate, and the public is encouraged to attend and pay their respects to those who served.
