A Wayne County woman was arrested for DUI after a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 15 and County Road 1400E in Big Mound Township just a little after 11:30 Friday night. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies, 34-year-old Jessica R. Robertson of Geff was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan when she veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Robertson told deputies she was attempting to light a cigarette and was distracted when she ran off the road. She overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. Robertson admitted to being under the influence of alcohol. Robertson was arrested for DUI and received a citation for Improper Lane Usage. Robertson was transported and booked into the Wayne County Jail.
