Three directors will be elected during the 88th annual meeting of the Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative on Friday, June 6th in the Wayne City High School Gym. All three candidates are running unopposed:
Ken Lamont, District 4: Lamont is seeking his fourth term.
Richard Talbert, District 8: Talbert is running for his first term.
Noel Edmison, District 9: Edmison is seeking his seventh term. He was first elected in 2005 to fill an unexpired term. He served as board chairman of Wayne-White from 2009 to 2021.
The event kicks off with registration and a meal at 5 p.m., where attendees can enjoy a pulled pork dinner and visit vendors in the gym. The evening continues with live entertainment at 6 p.m., featuring music by Whitney Hopfinger and Meghan Barrow featuring a night of acoustic harmony. The business meeting begins at 7 p.m., followed by prize drawings. A special video message from Gerry Kinney, reflecting on his 10-year journey following his accident, will be shared during the event. New at the 2025 Annual Meeting, a Co-op Question Corner. President/CEO Chris Hopfinger, along with some of the Board Members will be available to answer any member questions you may have. You can visit them from 5-7pm in the west gymnasium.
