The Summer Garden Gatherings are an informal opportunity for locals to meet Katie Bell, Illinois Extension local food systems and small farms educator, and explore the work at the Wayne County Extension high tunnel.
Join Bell for a tour of the high tunnel and pollinator plot or get her advice on gardening, small-scale farm management, high tunnels and greenhouses, and more. Attendees are also welcome to volunteer and help with the pollinator plot or ginger trial.
The Summer Garden Gatherings are offered on the following dates from 9-11 a.m. at the Wayne County Extension office, located at #2B Frontier Dr., Fairfield, IL 62837.
