FAIRFIELD CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER PROPERTY SALE, PUBLIC SAFETY APPOINTMENTS AT JUNE 10TH MEETING

The Fairfield City Council will meet for its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 10th at 6pm at City Hall, preceded by a public hearing at 5:50 p.m. to open bids for the sale of property at 303 NE 7th Street.

Key items on the agenda include:

Ordinance to award the bid for the sale of city-owned property at 303 NE 7th Street.

Approval of the IEBW contract and benefits for non-union employees.

Two Business District Resolutions: one with 6-Juan-8 Bakery, LLC & Samantha Baker, and another with Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative.

Acknowledgement of the Kemper CPA planning letter for the city’s financial audit preparation.

The council will vote on resolutions for:

Fire Chief appointment

Assistant Fire Chief appointment

Police Chief appointment

Public Safety Ordinance Enforcement Officer

Other Business:

A request to close Leroy Street between the tennis courts on June 21st and June 22nd for a Pickleball Tournament.

A recreation fund pledge to support the Fairfield Park District’s golf course.

Review of the monthly financial report and any miscellaneous items.

The meeting is open to the public and begins at 6pm.
