Area youth are invited to test their agricultural knowledge and skills at the Livestock Skill-A-Thon on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Clay County Fairgrounds, located at 104 Golf Course Road in Flora.
Hosted by the University of Illinois Extension and 4-H, the event features both a Junior Division (ages 8–13) and a Senior Division (ages 14–18), based on the participant’s age as of September 1, 2024.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., and the contest will start at 6:00 p.m.
Participants will be challenged in a variety of areas including:
Equipment Identification
Feed Identification
Breed Identification
Meat Identification
Senior division participants will also complete a general knowledge test.
