Local area baseball players were recently selected to the Southern Illinois Coaches Association All-South Baseball Team. Players include:

SUNDAY’S SCOREBOARD

NBA Finals:
No Game Scheduled
The NBA Finals resume tonight. The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Indiana Pacers in Game Five in OKC. The Thunder tied the series at two games apiece with a 111-104 victory in Game Four on Friday in Indianapolis. League MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led OKC to the victory with a game-high 35 points. Both teams are two wins away from claiming the first NBA championship title in team history.

WNBA:
The Fever are looking to build off a big win. After delivering the defending WNBA champions their first loss of the season, Indiana is hosting the Connecticut Sun tomorrow night in Indianapolis. The Fever have won three of their last four games.

Report: Rafael Devers Traded To Giants:
One of the best bats in the major leagues is heading west. The Red Sox have traded Rafael Devers to the Giants. San Francisco is sending right-hander Jordan Hicks, left-hander Kyle Harrison, outfield prospect James Tibbs and pitching prospect Jose Bello to Boston. Devers is in the second season of a 10-year, 313-million-dollar contract that the Giants are fully taking on. The 28-year-old is batting .272 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs this season.

Men’s College World Series Recap:
(Omaha, NE) — The Men’s College World Series continued Sunday in Omaha. Arizona was the first team eliminated, losing 8-3 to Louisville. The Cardinals scored six runs in the eighth inning to earn the win. In the nightcap, Coastal Carolina beat Oregon State 6-2. The action continues Monday with an elimination game between Arkansas and Murray State in the afternoon, followed by a winner’s bracket matchup between LSU and UCLA.

NHL Stanley Cup Finals:
No Game Scheduled
The Panthers are trying to win their second straight Stanley Cup on Tuesday. The team faces off against the Oilers in Game Six from Sunrise. Florida is coming off a convincing victory in Game Five where Brad Marchand became the first player in league history to score at least five goals in two Cup Final series with two different teams. Game Seven would take place in Edmonton if the Oilers can stave-off elimination.
