George Terry Anderson, 55, of Norris City

 George Terry Anderson, 55, of Norris City, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1969, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of George Larry and Patsy J. (Allen) Anderson. Terry graduated from Norris City High School and went on to graduate from S.I.,U. in Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture. He worked as Head Greens Keeper for multiple golf courses before going to work at WSI in Mt. Vernon, Indiana for over 20 years. Terry was a member of Kingdom Baptist Church in Carmi. He loved playing golf, watching wildlife and reading.

Terry is survived by his mother, Patsy Anderson of Norris City, IL; siblings, Kent (Crystal) Anderson of Norris City, IL, Mike (Dianna) Anderson of Carmi, IL. and Robin (Mike) Smithpeters of Mt. Vernon, IL; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Larry Anderson; grandparents, Elsworth and Hazel Anderson, and Floyd and Frances Allen; a nephew, George William “Billy” Rector; and a great-nephew, Clayton Tyler Konrath.

Funeral services for Terry Anderson will be private with burial at Kingdom Cemetery in Carmi. Contributions may be made in Terry’s memory to Kingdom Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
