Clay County Hospital and Medical Clinics (CCH) is introducing a new Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) class beginning June 30 at 5:00 p.m.
This yearlong lifestyle change course is designed specifically for individuals who are prediabetic or at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The program focuses on promoting healthy habits and empowering participants to take control of their health—particularly in managing weight, nutrition, and physical activity.
The course is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans, making it an accessible option for many area residents looking to improve their long-term health outcomes.
“This is an excellent way to begin a healthy weight loss journey that YOU are in control of,” said a representative from CCH.
Interested individuals are encouraged to take the online Diabetes Risk Test. A score of 5 or higher indicates an elevated risk of developing diabetes, making them eligible for the program.
