FAIRFIELD DISTRICT #112 SETS JULY 9TH REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Fairfield Public School District #112 has announced that registration for the 2025–2026 school year will be held on Wednesday, July 9th, for all students entering Pre-K through 8th grade. Registration will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the North Side School cafeteria. Parents and guardians are asked to enter through the cafeteria doors located behind the gym.
All students must be registered before the start of school. Returning students—excluding preschoolers—may register online through their Skyward account. Anyone needing help with login credentials should contact the school between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. prior to the registration date.
As part of registration, Horizon Healthcare will be on-site offering free school and sports physicals, with no appointment required. A parent must be present for the exam.

Required Documentation:
Pre-K students must provide proof of household income at registration, which may include pay stubs, tax returns, W-2 forms, or a Medicaid card in the parent’s name.
New students in Kindergarten through 8th grade and any students who have moved over the summer must provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, utility bill, or property tax document.
A Verification of Residence Statement must also be signed. Falsifying residency may result in a tuition charge. For 2025–2026, the maximum tuition fee is $10,372.85, as set by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Health Requirements:
Physical exams are required for students entering Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 6th grade.
Dental exams are required for Kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grade students.
Eye exams are required for all Kindergarten students and first-time enrollees age Kindergarten and older.
Fees for the 2025–2026 school year include a $50 registration fee for students in grades K–8. Students in grades 4 through 8 will also be charged an additional $30 technology fee. All fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Key Dates:
Teachers’ Institutes: August 11th and 12th
First Day of School for K–8: August 13th, with early dismissal at 1:00/1:10 p.m.
First Day of Pre-K: August 20th

Bus transportation will follow a temporary schedule during the first week of school. Students not eligible for regular transportation may ride the bus for a fee of $80 for the first child and $40 for each additional child. These fees must be paid before service begins. Additional transportation information will be available at registration.
School supply lists for both schools will be available at registration. Staff will also be available to schedule appointments for preschool screenings, which will be held on September 17th, 18th, and 19th. Children must be 3 years old at the time of the screening.
