NORTH WAYNE CUSD #200 TO HOLD BUDGET HEARING AND JUNE BOARD MEETING THURSDAY

The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education will meet Thursday, June 26th at Cisne Middle School for a Budget Amendment Hearing at 4:50 p.m., followed by the regular board meeting at 5:00 p.m.  The board will open with roll call and discuss proposed amendments to the 2024–2025 fiscal year budget, with final action expected before adjournment.

Consent Agenda Approvals:

Minutes from the May 21st regular meeting

Personnel leave and dock day requests

Use of the district baseball diamond by NWRA for the Paul Hill Memorial Softball Tournament in September 2025

Egyptian Trust Plan renewal at a 35.9% rate increase for the 2025–2026 plan year

 

Resignations from:

Jeff Anderson as CHS Assistant Baseball Coach

Teresa Puckett as CMS Lunchroom and Study Hall Aide

Samantha Klingler as CHS Head Softball Coach

 

Financial Business:

Approval of district bills

Treasurer’s report

Income review

 

Superintendent’s Report:

Updates on online registration, district website, and summer projects

 

Old Business:

Updates on the installation of a fan in the Mt. Erie Gymnasium

Update on the purchase of a second 10-passenger van

 

New Business Discussions and Possible Action:

Consideration of establishing a CHS Bass Fishing Team

Review and approval of school fees for 2025–2026, including book rentals, facility use, athletic event admissions, adult meals, and extra milk

Review of executive session minutes and destruction of specific audio recordings from July–December 2023

Renewal of the district’s commercial insurance policy

Discussion and approval of Press Plus policy updates from Issues 118 and 119

 

Executive Session (if needed):

Discussion may include personnel matters, student discipline, litigation, bargaining, and property issues

 

Specific consideration of the CMS lunchroom/study hall aide position

 

Following the closed session, the board is expected to take action on the aide position discussed.
