Chicago Cubs 3, St. Louis Cardinals 0 The St. Louis Cardinals had just three hits during a 3-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium. The Cards gave up a home run to Michael Busch in the top of the second and trailed the rest of the way. Andre Pallante was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering a pair of runs on seven hits in five innings. St. Louis is in third place in the NL Central at 44-and-38. The Cardinals send Sonny Gray to the mound against Cleveland tonight in Cleveland. Michael Busch led the way for Chicago, going two-for-four with a solo home run and two runs scored. Ian Happ had the only other RBI. Shota Imanaga allowed just one hit in five innings to earn the victory. Daniel Palencia locked down his eighth save to move Chicago to 48-and-33. TheCubs send Cade Horton to the mound against the Astros tonight.in Houston.

Judge And Ohtani Elected To All-Star Game
Last season’s Most Valuable Players from both the American and National Leagues have secured their spot in next month’s All-Star Game. Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge and Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani were elected as starters by fans on Thursday. Judge led the league with over four-million votes in the first round of fan balloting. Ohtani topped the NL with over 3.9-million fan votes. Remaining starters will be announced July 2nd. Pitchers and reserves will be revealed July 6th.
NBA Draft Round Two Recap:
(Brooklyn, NY) — The 2025 NBA Draft has wrapped up from Brooklyn. The second round was held Thursday at the Barclays Center. The Phoenix Suns selected Saint Joseph’s forward Rasheer Fleming with the first pick of the round. The other highlights of the second round were Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner going 34th to the Charlotte Hornets, Auburn center Johni Broome being taken 35th by the Philadelphia 76ers, and Duke guard Tyrese Proctor being drafted 49th by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The next major event on the NBA calendar will be the start of free agency negotiations on June 30th.
NHL Draft Begins Tonight:
The 2025 NHL Draft will begin tonight. It is the first decentralized draft in league history. The New York Islanders have the number one pick after entering the lottery with just a three-and-a-half percent chance of doing so. This is New York’s first time with the top pick since drafting John Tavares in 2009. Canadian defenseman Matthew Schaefer is expected to be taken at number one. The San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks, Utah Mammoth and Nashville Predators round out the top five selections. Rounds two through seven will take place on Saturday.

Chiefs Seek Extension For Kansas Stadium Financing
The Kansas City Chiefs’ potential move across state lines from Missouri to Kansas is a legitimate possibility. The NFL franchise has requested an extension to an end-of-June deadline for a stadium financing package from the state of Kansas. Chiefs president Mark Donovan formally requested the extension Thursday in a letter to Kansas Senate president Ty Masterson. The Kansas Legislative Coordinating Council is scheduled to meet July 7th to consider extending the incentive deadline. The Chiefs current stadium lease is due to expire in January 2031.
